Every year, the color experts at the Pantone Color Institute pore over research and analyses of design, film, food, fashion, art, and entertainment — as well as materials, travel, sports, and technology — to arrive at a Color of the Year. It’s a thoughtful and meticulous process, as the decision influences product development, design, and purchasing decisions across multiple industries.
For 2018, Pantone announced PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet as the Color of the Year.
